Credentials and recognition

    Care at home

Senior companion care for the days, the nights, or both

Some families need a few hours a week. Others want someone there overnight, or living in.

    • Hourly companion care

Company, meals, errands and rides for the hours that are hardest, from a few mornings a week to full days.

    • Overnight companion care

An awake caregiver for the night hours, so nobody in the house is on their own.

    • Live-in companion care

A caregiver lives in the home and keeps the day running, with agreed rest time and a night's sleep.

    • 24-hour companion care

Caregivers work awake shifts, so someone is there at any hour of the day or night.

    Getting started

    How care is arranged

It starts with a conversation, and nothing begins until you say so.

    1. A conversation

Call or send a request. Tell us who needs help, where they live and what's been getting harder.

    2. A nurse visits at home

A registered nurse comes to the house and writes the care plan with your family.

    3. You meet the caregiver

We choose a caregiver for the person and introduce them before the first visit.

    4. Updates as you go

Your Care Manager keeps you posted and adjusts the plan as needs change.

    Questions New York families ask

    Which office serves New York?

Our office at 60 Long Ridge Rd, Suite #214, Stamford, CT 06902 arranges care in Westchester County. Call our care team at (203) 936-6847, and a registered nurse visits at home to write the care plan with you.

What does a companion caregiver do?

Keeps your parent company, makes meals, keeps the house in order, runs errands, drives to appointments and gives reminders through the day, at the hours you choose.

What is the difference between live-in care and 24-hour care?

With live-in care, a caregiver lives in the home and has agreed time for rest, including a night's sleep. With 24-hour care, caregivers work in shifts and stay awake, so support carries on through the day and the night. Tell us what a typical day and night look like, and we'll help you choose.

How do families pay for companion care?

Endurance is private pay and does not bill insurance directly. Families with a long-term care insurance policy can use it, and we'll help with the paperwork. Medicare does not pay for ongoing daily help at home.
