Endurance Home Care arranges hourly home care in New Jersey, New York and Connecticut's Fairfield and New Haven counties: a caregiver comes for the hours your family chooses, from a few hours a week to full days, and the schedule changes as needs do.

The hours can hold either kind of help. Companion care is company, meals, errands, rides, reminders and light housekeeping. Personal care adds a hand with showering, getting dressed and the bathroom. We provide personal care in Connecticut and New Jersey. In New York we provide companion care, by the hour, overnight, live-in or around the clock.

A free conversation, then a nurse visit at home
The first conversation is free. Then a registered nurse visits at home and writes the care plan with your family, so the hours you've chosen are filled with the help that's needed.

Every caregiver passes background checks, reference checks and verification of their qualifications and certifications before we hire them. We choose one with your parent in mind.

Hourly care is billed for the hours you schedule, so the cost comes from your week: how many hours, which days, whether evenings are part of it and what kind of help is needed. For a sense of the market, the 2025 CareScout (Genworth) Cost of Care Survey put the national median for home care help with daily living at $35 an hour. Those are survey medians, not our price list. Endurance is private pay, and we quote an actual rate after the free consultation and the in-home assessment, once the schedule and the kind of help are known. If a policy is in play, we read it with you and help with the policy paperwork: long term care insurance help.

The schedule can change with you

A customized monthly assessment

Every month the plan is reviewed and updated with changes to schedule and preferences. That review is the set place to move hours up or down, and your Care Manager keeps in touch in between. If you need more hours, or fewer, just tell us.

What is hourly home care?

Hourly home care is help at home for a set block of time rather than all day. A caregiver comes for the hours you choose to help with company, meals, errands, rides, light housekeeping, medication reminders and safety supervision. Endurance arranges hourly care across New Jersey and New York and in Connecticut's Fairfield and New Haven counties, and adjusts the hours as needs change.

How much does hourly home care cost in Connecticut?

Can we change the schedule after care starts?

Yes. Hourly schedules can change as needs do, and Endurance runs a customized monthly assessment with updates on schedule and preferences, a built-in point to adjust hours up or down. Your Care Manager reviews the care plan with you as needs change. If needs grow past daytime visits, the same team arranges overnight, live-in and 24-hour care.
