ETS: 24/7 Virtual Carefor Seniors at Home
No cameras.
- 24/7 audio alerts
- Plug and play install
- No cameras
Endurance Technology Solutions, ETS, is Endurance Home Care's 24/7 virtual care service for seniors at home, delivered through 100 percent audio technology with a plug and play install.
There is no camera in the house. There is a voice, and it belongs to somebody who already knows her name.
ETS stands for Endurance Technology Solutions. It is the part of the service that stays in the house between caregiver visits. The install is plug and play, the technology is 100 percent audio, and there is no video feed of any room at any hour.
The audio platform runs around the clock and raises both preventative and emergency alerts. Anyone can buy that. What they cannot buy is the half of this that matters at four in the morning.
An alert reaches our team typically within 15 minutes of the event. We are usually on the phone within 5. Overnight, that is not an answering service or a queue: it is a dedicated team whose entire job, all night, is to watch and to call. A caregiver's work is daily-living and ETS does not change that. The system raises the signal. People do everything after it.
What happens when an alert comes in
The loop has three parts, and only one of them is a machine. The system raises signals. It does not interpret them, and it draws no conclusion about anyone.
The signal, inside fifteen minutes
The audio platform runs around the clock, raising preventative and emergency alerts. An alert typically reaches us within 15 minutes of the event happening in the home. Raising the signal is the whole of the machine's job. It draws no conclusion about anyone.
A person, inside five
The alert goes to our office team of nine, and we are typically calling within 5 minutes of receiving it. Through the night a dedicated overnight team does nothing else: they watch, and they call. The people receiving your alert are the same staff who schedule and support the caregivers already going into homes here.
The response, and it is human
A phone call first. Then a caregiver already nearby, or the family reached directly, or emergency services if that is what the situation needs. Nobody is diagnosed, treated or assessed by a device or by us. What changes is how quickly somebody knows.
In Connecticut and New Jersey, where the risk is being alone rather than being unreachable, the answer is usually not a device at all. It is safety supervision from a caregiver in the home, on hours you set. ETS is a supplement and not a replacement to the human touch that we provide with our in person home care. It is complimentary for as long as someone is on service with us.
What is actually in the house
24/7 audio alerts
The audio layer is on all day and all night, and it is audio only. No cameras, no video, nothing to point at a doorway. It is the part families forget is there, which is the point of it.
What is actually captured, in plain terms
Putting a listening device in your mother’s home is a real decision and it deserves real answers rather than a badge. Here is everything, including the parts that are less comfortable to print.
- Is it recording all the time?
- Ten-second audio snippets, captured on an event rather than as a continuous recording. There is no camera and no live listening feed of the room.
- How long is the audio kept?
- 30 days, then it goes.
- Who can hear it?
- Endurance office staff and management, a team of nine. Not a call centre, and not the vendor's staff on our behalf.
- Who decides whether it goes in?
- You do. An optional exhibit the client signs as part of the Client Service Agreement. It is optional, and the service works without it.
- What about the caregiver, or a visitor?
- Because it is an exhibit to the care agreement, the household knows the system is in the home. It listens for events rather than to people, so a caregiver or a visitor going about an ordinary day is not being recorded or reviewed.
- What if it stops working?
- Endurance supplies the modem, so the system does not depend on a household's own broadband. No outage to date. That is a record rather than a guarantee, and we would rather say so than imply we have engineered something we have only so far been lucky with.
An agency behind it, not a gadget on a shelf
A standalone device sends its alert into whatever call center the box was sold with. An ETS alert lands at Endurance Home Care itself, with the staff who already know the household, the schedule, and which door is usually unlocked. Same agency, same registration, same phone number families already have.
In Connecticut and New Jersey, households coming out of a hospital stay often start with transitional care for the first 72 hours home and keep ETS running once the caregiver hours taper.

ETS beside caregiver hours
Most households run both
Caregiver hours cover the parts of the day that are hard. ETS covers the hours nobody is scheduled, which is usually the middle of the night. Neither one replaces the other, and the schedule is meant to be changed as the need changes.
The hours between visits. Audio alerts around the clock, routed to the team.
The visit itself. Company, meals, errands, and reminders. Hands-on help is available only in Connecticut and New Jersey.

Where a long term care policy is paying for the caregiver hours beside it, policies differ enough that reading yours matters more than any general answer, and we go through it with you at the consultation.
long term care insuranceQuestions families ask about ETS
What is virtual care for seniors at home?
Virtual care for seniors at home means a monitoring layer plus a team that responds. Endurance Technology Solutions, ETS, delivers 24/7 virtual care through 100 percent audio technology with a plug and play install. When the system raises an alert, it notifies Endurance so the team can respond promptly. The service is daily-living.
What does remote monitoring for elderly care track?
Endurance's remote setup runs 24/7 audio care monitoring.
Who responds when ETS sends an alert?
Alerts go to Endurance Home Care itself. The ETS page states the system alerts Endurance so the team can respond promptly, and that team belongs to the same Stamford agency at 60 Long Ridge Rd that staffs the in-home caregivers, not a separate monitoring vendor.
Is ETS a medical alert or medical monitoring service?
No. Endurance Home Care provides daily-living care at home. Skilled nursing, home health aides and physical therapy in Connecticut are provided by Endurance Home Health. ETS gathers signals through around-the-clock audio alerts, then routes alerts to the Endurance team for a prompt response. It does not diagnose, treat, or assess medical conditions; it keeps human help close.
Does ETS require cameras or complicated equipment?
No cameras. ETS runs on 100 percent audio technology, and Endurance describes the install as plug and play. There is no video feed in the home.
The screen door is closed. Somebody is still within earshot.
ETS supports home-care plans in Connecticut and New Jersey and companion-care plans in New York, with the agency team on the other end of every alert.
