Endurance Home Care, a Connecticut registered homemaker companion agency (registration HCA.0002450) at 60 Long Ridge Rd in Stamford, provides home care services across Fairfield County and New Haven County.

Four ways care is scheduled, seven services inside them

The cabinet has two halves. The first four drawers are ways a schedule gets built: around the clock with a live in caregiver, by the hour, through the first days home after a hospital stay, or inside a facility where somebody already lives. The next seven are the work itself, what a caregiver actually does once the schedule exists. None of it is medical: clinical services in Connecticut come from Endurance Home Health, a separate company. Caregivers here support, accompany, remind, and supervise. The office is at 60 Long Ridge Rd, Suite #214 in Stamford, the registration number is HCA.0002450, and the footer of every page here says the plainer version of the same thing: Endurance Home Care provides care at home in Connecticut and New Jersey, with companion care only in New York. Skilled nursing, home health aides and physical therapy in Connecticut are provided by Endurance Home Health.

Most families call on the worst day, not the planning day. The order of operations is built for that.

Start timing depends on the address, schedule, support needs, and an available caregiver match. Three things happen before a start is confirmed. A consultation, where you describe the week you are actually having. A visit to the home, where the schedule gets written against the rooms it will happen in. Then a caregiver match, because a household is not a shift slot. Whoever arrives has already cleared background checks, reference checks, and verification of qualifications and certifications. The vetting is finished before the introduction, not after it.

Two programs we built ourselves

Both sit on top of an ordinary schedule rather than replacing one. Each answers a different question about the hours nobody is in the room.

Endurance Homebound

What it is
A transitional program built around the first 72 hours after a hospital discharge, the stretch when the paperwork is fresh and the house is not set up yet.
When it applies
There is a discharge date, and the first days back are the worry.
What it does not do
It is not clinical follow up. Caregivers do not treat, diagnose, or administer anything.

Endurance Technology Solutions

What it is
A 24/7 virtual care layer running on audio technology, with a plug and play install and nothing for the household to operate.
When it applies
Somebody lives alone and the gap between visits is the worry.
What it does not do
It alerts the Endurance team so they can respond. It does not detect, predict, or monitor anyone's health.

Who is standing in the doorway

A service name tells you what gets done. It does not tell you who does it. Every caregiver clears the same three checks before hire, completes the same orientation before a first shift, and keeps training every month afterward, because the work changes as a household changes. Endurance is licensed by the state as a homemaker companion agency, and is a corporate partner of the Aging Life Care Association at the Silver tier.

Full daily-living care

Companion care only

New York is companion care only. We do not hold a New York State licence and do not provide hands-on personal care there, such as bathing, dressing, toileting or transfers.

Coverage is by town rather than by county line, and the honest answer for a specific address is sometimes no. Check your town or ask when you call.

Long term care insurance is not a footnote here. It sits in the main navigation, because for a lot of households it is the answer to the question that comes before every other question.

Policies differ from each other more than families expect. Bring yours to the consultation and we will read it together rather than guess at it.

Tell us what the hard day looks like

Almost nobody calls asking for a service by name. They describe a Tuesday: the stairs, the stove, the hours after dinner, the drive to the cardiologist. This is how a description turns into a drawer. Follow the branch that sounds like your week. Nothing on either side of it is medical, and none of it commits you to anything.

  1. Branch 01

The hard part is the hours

  2. Branch 02

The hard part is the body

  3. Branch 03

The hard part is memory, or the quiet

  4. Branch 04

The hard part is a discharge, or a family running on empty

Questions families ask

What services are included in home care?

Home care covers help with daily living at home: companion visits, personal care such as bathing and dressing support, homemaking, transportation, medication reminders, and safety supervision. Endurance Home Care provides all of these across Fairfield County, in schedules that run from a few hours a week to 24/7 live in care.

How fast can home care start?

Start timing depends on the location, schedule, support needs, and an available caregiver match. The path is a consultation, an in home assessment, then a caregiver match. Families arranging care after a hospital discharge can ask about Endurance Homebound, the program built around the first 72 hours home.

Is Endurance Home Care a medical provider?

No. Endurance Home Care provides daily-living care at home. Skilled nursing, home health aides and physical therapy in Connecticut are provided by Endurance Home Health. Caregivers support daily living: companionship, personal care, homemaking, transportation, medication reminders, and safety supervision. They do not treat, diagnose, or administer medication. Endurance is registered in Connecticut as a homemaker companion agency, Registration HCA.0002450.

How are caregivers screened?

Every caregiver passes background checks, reference checks, and verification of qualifications and certifications before joining Endurance. Each then completes an orientation training program covering privacy, safety protocols, medication reminders, communication, and disease states including Alzheimer's and dementia, with ongoing monthly online training after hire.

Nobody should have to know the name of the thing they need.

Describe the day. We will read the label off the drawer.
