How to read any agency’s awards page, including this one

  1. Ask who conferred itA named publication, a named panel, a directory, or nobody at all. If a badge does not say who issued it, that is the answer. Every line on this page names its issuer and links to the issuer's own record rather than to a picture of a badge.
  2. Ask what they looked atAlmost every award in home care assesses the business: revenue, growth, hiring, how the company is run. That is worth knowing and it is not the same as somebody assessing the care. An agency that blurs the two is telling you something about itself.
  3. Ask what a family can check without permissionReviews written by the people who received the care, a state registration number you can look up, and whether the agency will name the caregiver and the care manager before the first visit. None of those require anybody's award.

What is the difference between an award, a badge and an accreditation?

An award is conferred by a panel or publication that considered the company against named criteria. A badge is issued by a directory, usually on category and location rather than judgement. An accreditation comes from a body that sets standards for conduct. A membership is something a company joins and pays for. Only the first involves anybody choosing you.

No, and this page will not claim it does. No organization listed here visited a client, read a care plan, or assessed a caregiver. What a family can check directly is the caregiver profile before the first visit, the named care manager, and the Google reviews on our Connecticut listing.

Skilled nursing and therapy in Connecticut are provided separately by Endurance Home Health, which holds its own Department of Public Health credential.
