Does Endurance Home Care provide companion care in Orchard Park?

Yes. We provide companion care throughout the Town of Orchard Park from our Stamford office. It can run by the hour, overnight, live-in or around the clock. A registered nurse visits first to plan the care with your family, and you meet your companion before the first visit.

A weekday at the Senior Center

The Orchard Park Senior Center is open Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4pm. Seniors over 55 can join exercise classes, cards and games, and the free University Express classes, and Club 99 is a free fitness program for those 60 and older. Lunch is served at noon on weekdays to Erie County seniors over 60 and their spouse, reserved by 10am on the Tuesday before.

A companion can drive your father there and home again, keep track of the lunch reservations, and be with him in the late afternoons, evenings and weekends, when the center is closed.

Rides: Going Places and Rural Transit

In Orchard Park the Going Places van is curb to curb for seniors who can't use regular transportation, and it runs from 9am to 3:15pm except Mondays. Health trips can be booked two weeks ahead and other trips one week ahead, after a brief registration. The Rural Transit vans run Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm, on 48 hours' notice, for up to two rides a week.

A companion can drive on Mondays, after the vans stop for the day, at short notice, or whenever he'd rather not wait for a booking, and can stay with him through the appointment. Shopping and errands fit into the same visit.

Getting started

How care is arranged in Orchard Park

It starts with a conversation, and nothing begins until you say so.

  1. A conversation

Call or send a request. Tell us who needs help, where they live and what's been getting harder. You don't need the right words.

  2. A nurse visits at home

A registered nurse comes to the house in Orchard Park, gets to know everyone and writes the care plan with you.

  3. You meet the caregiver

We choose a caregiver for the routines and preferences that matter and introduce them before the first visit. If it isn't working, we find someone else.

  4. Updates as you go

Your Care Manager keeps you posted and changes the plan with you when needs change.
