Home care in Red Bank
If your father in Red Bank likes his days around town but needs a hand with the parts that have gotten harder, we can plan help that fits around the routines he already has. Tell us what's changed, and we'll start there.

Does Endurance Home Care provide home care in Red Bank?
Yes. We provide home care throughout Red Bank from our Short Hills office. Your family can choose hourly visits, awake overnight care, live-in care or care around the clock, as companion care or personal care with hands-on help. A registered nurse comes to the house first to write the care plan with you, and you meet the caregiver before the first visit.
Care options in Red Bank
Help for the days, the nights, or both
Some families need a few hours a week. Others want someone there overnight, or living in. Here's what each option looks like at home.
- Hourly careHelp for the hours that are hardest, from a few mornings a week to full days. Easy to add to as needs change.
- Overnight careA caregiver who stays awake through the night hours, there when someone wakes and ready to help them settle again, so everyone in the house gets some rest.
- Live-in careA caregiver lives in the home and helps through the day with meals, routines, company and the house. Agreed rest time, including a night's sleep, is part of the arrangement.
- 24-hour careCaregivers work awake shifts, usually two 12-hour or three 8-hour shifts, so someone is up and ready to help at any hour of the day or night.
Any of these can be companion care, which covers company, meals, light housekeeping, errands and rides, or personal care, which adds hands-on help with bathing, dressing and moving around safely. See how live-in care and 24-hour care differ.
The senior center, and the rides it arranges
The Red Bank Senior Center is open Monday to Friday from 7am to 3pm, with activities from 8am to 2pm, and it serves residents 60 and over from Red Bank, Shrewsbury, Little Silver, Fair Haven and Tinton Falls. It offers door-to-door transportation for members, weekly shopping trips and rides to local doctor appointments for registered members, and a Parker Family Clinic nurse visits each month. The center describes its members as physically independent and mentally active, which is worth knowing if your father needs more help day to day.
A caregiver covers the rest of the week: evenings, weekends, an appointment outside the center's hours, and staying with him through the visit instead of dropping him at the door.
Meals and books that come to the door
The senior center coordinates delivery of more than 100 meals a day to homebound seniors, with Interfaith Neighbors and local volunteers. Red Bank Public Library also delivers to homebound residents with a library card who can't get to the building, for free, about twice a month, to the front door. Staff can't come inside.
Those deliveries arrive on someone else's schedule. A caregiver is there when they do, makes the meals in between, and sits down with your father over the new books.

Questions Red Bank families ask
Who can join the Red Bank Senior Center?
Residents 60 and over from Red Bank, Shrewsbury, Little Silver, Fair Haven and Tinton Falls can use it, and registration is free. The center describes its members as physically independent and mentally active. If your father needs more help than that, a caregiver can come to the house and also take him to the center's activities.
Will the senior center take my mother to the doctor?
It provides medical transportation for registered members to local doctor appointments, and the center is open weekdays from 7am to 3pm. For appointments outside those hours, or when she'd like someone with her in the room, a caregiver can drive her and stay through the visit.
Can the Red Bank library bring books to my father at home?
Yes. Red Bank residents with a library card who can't visit, temporarily or permanently, can sign up for free homebound delivery. It runs about twice a month to the front door. A caregiver can help him choose, and be there when the books arrive.
How do families pay for home care?
Care with Endurance is private pay. If your father has a long-term care insurance policy, we can help with the policy paperwork. Medicare does not pay for ongoing daily help at home.
