Does Endurance Home Care provide home care in Fair Haven?
Yes. We provide home care throughout Fair Haven from our Short Hills office. A registered nurse comes to the house first to write the care plan with you, and you meet the caregiver before the first visit.
Care options in Fair Haven
Help for the days, the nights, or both
Some families need a few hours a week. Others want someone there overnight, or living in. Here's what each option looks like at home.
- Hourly careHelp for the hours that are hardest, from a few mornings a week to full days. Easy to add to as needs change.
- Overnight careA caregiver who stays awake through the night hours, there when someone wakes and ready to help them settle again, so everyone in the house gets some rest.
- Live-in careA caregiver lives in the home and helps through the day with meals, routines, company and the house. Agreed rest time, including a night's sleep, is part of the arrangement.
- 24-hour careCaregivers work awake shifts, usually two 12-hour or three 8-hour shifts, so someone is up and ready to help at any hour of the day or night.
Any of these can be companion care, which covers company, meals, light housekeeping, errands and rides, or personal care, which adds hands-on help with bathing, dressing and moving around safely. See how live-in care and 24-hour care differ.
No senior center, but a Tuesday meeting each month
Fair Haven doesn't have a senior center of its own, and Monmouth County's list of senior centers has no Fair Haven entry. The borough calendar does list a Seniors Meeting at Bicentennial Hall, which is also called Fisk Chapel and is among the county's historical landmarks. The meetings run on a Tuesday afternoon, and the borough posts each date on its calendar.
Between meetings, rides come from the county's Shared Ride. It takes residents 60 and over on weekdays from 7:30am to 3:30pm, puts medical trips and food shopping first, and asks for a reservation four days ahead. A caregiver covers the weeks without a meeting, the appointment after 3:30 and the plan that changes midweek, and can go along on meeting days.
What the borough can set up for your family
Fair Haven's Office of Emergency Management lists a Nixle sign-up for emergency notifications on its page, and the borough site carries a No Knock Registry application for homes that don't want canvassers. The Tax Collector's page links the state's property tax relief programs. Police Headquarters is at 35 Fisk Street.
On a day with no meeting, the borough describes Memorial Park, directly across from Borough Hall, as ideal for passive recreation, and Grange Avenue Pocket Park as a setting that overlooks the Navesink River. A caregiver can sign your mother up for alerts and the registry in one sitting, and then walk with her to either park.
