Towns near Springfield
Springfield's senior bus
The township runs a free bus for residents 55 and over, weekdays from 8:45am to 3:30pm, to places inside Springfield: doctors' offices, the shops, the bank, the library and club meetings. Rides are booked ahead, and same-day requests are taken between 8 and 9 in the morning when seats allow.
A caregiver can take care of the trips outside the township, like appointments and hospital follow-ups, and help at home on the days the bus doesn't fit.
The two weeks after a hospital stay are usually a short, dense arrangement, not a standing package. Where a clinical plan already exists, we work within it. And we ask about the house before we ask about the condition, because we'd rather see it than be told about it.

The bus serves places inside Springfield. For appointments elsewhere, Union County Paratransit needs six days' notice, or a caregiver can drive him there and back.

Can we start with a few hours and add more later?

How do families pay for home care?
Care with Endurance is private pay. If your parent has a long-term care insurance policy, we can help with the policy paperwork. Medicare doesn't pay for ongoing daily help at home.
