Roseland's shared senior bus
Roseland shares one free, wheelchair-accessible senior bus with Caldwell and West Caldwell. It goes to supermarkets in Caldwell and West Caldwell and to local stores and malls, and you book it by calling between 8:15 and 8:45 on the morning you want to travel.
A caregiver can be there when the booking window opens, help your mother get ready for the trip, and drive her to the appointments the bus doesn't cover. If she'd like more company too, the borough's Roseland Senior Society is free for residents 55 and over and is run by the Recreation Department.
What's left after the bus is usually the mornings, the weekend after a discharge, and appointments beyond the bus's stops. That's a defined arrangement, not an open-ended one.

It's one free bus shared by Roseland, Caldwell and West Caldwell. You call between 8:15 and 8:45 on the morning you want to ride, and it goes to supermarkets in Caldwell and West Caldwell and to local stores and malls.
Can a caregiver drive my mother to her appointments?
Yes. Rides to appointments, errands and the shops can be part of the care plan. Tell us the regular trips when we talk, and we'll build the hours around them.
Can we start with a few hours and add more later?
Yes. You can begin with a few mornings a week and add hours, overnights or live-in care as her needs change. Your Care Manager adjusts the plan with you.
How do families pay for home care?
Care with Endurance is private pay. If your parent has a long-term care insurance policy, we can help with the policy paperwork. Medicare doesn't pay for ongoing daily help at home.
Do you provide nursing care?
No. Our caregivers handle daily life: personal care, meals, the house, medication reminders and company. Nursing and therapy come from your parent's doctor or a home health agency, and we build our hours around their plan.
