Getting up and ready
Help getting up at the usual hour. When personal care is part of the plan, that includes washing, dressing and getting safely from the bedroom to the kitchen table.
Meals
Breakfast the way she likes it, lunch and dinner planned around her tastes and any diet her doctor has recommended, and the kitchen cleared afterward.
The house
Laundry, fresh sheets, tidying, and keeping floors and walkways clear, so the house stays in order through the week.
Errands and appointments
Rides to appointments, the pharmacy, the grocery store or a friend's house, with the caregiver going along.
Company
Conversation, a card game, the crossword, a walk when the weather's good. Someone to share the day with, at her pace.
Reminders
A reminder when a medication is due, and help keeping track of appointments, calls and the day's plans.
Evening and bedtime

We provide personal care in Connecticut and New Jersey. In New York we provide companion care, by the hour, overnight, live-in or around the clock.
If nursing is needed too
Our caregivers help with daily life. In Connecticut, our separate company, Endurance Home Health, provides skilled nursing, home health aides and physical therapy.
Help keeping appointments straight
A lot of what makes the week easier is the organizing: keeping the calendar straight, getting to appointments and back, and letting the family know how things went. Your Care Manager keeps you posted as well, so you’re not the only one keeping track, even if you live some distance away. We choose the caregiver for the person, with their routines and personality in mind. A registered nurse visits at home first and writes the care plan with your family, and we introduce the caregiver before the first day.
Every caregiver passes background and reference checks before we hire them and keeps training every month. Endurance calls its caregivers Care Professionals, and the training behind the title is extensive: disease states, health and wellness, and the ordinary craft of running somebody else’s day without taking it away from them.
