Expansion into New Jersey
Endurance Home Care, a provider of home care services, today announced its expansion into New Jersey and established a new office in Short Hills. The office supports families across the New Jersey counties the agency can staff today.
Endurance Home Care was founded in Fairfield County, Connecticut in 2024 by brothers Chris Weldon of Greenwich and Tom Weldon of New Canaan, alongside CEO Andrew Schwartz. Andrew and his family live in Scotch Plains, New Jersey, and he is closely involved in that community. He leads the New Jersey team from the Short Hills office.
The idea for the company was born out of the Weldons’ personal experience. While caring for their grandmother during her battle with dementia, the brothers saw firsthand where traditional home care fell short. They built Endurance alongside Andrew to support families navigating care at home.
The New Jersey office
Endurance Home Care’s New Jersey office is headquartered at 788 Morris Turnpike, Suite 201 in Short Hills, Essex County. Andrew Schwartz leads the New Jersey team.
Endurance Technology Solutions
At the core of the service model is Endurance Technology Solutions, an optional, non-invasive audio-based layer that runs alongside the caregiver rather than in place of one. Ambient sensors and door sensors surface unusual overnight activity, such as a change in night-time movement around the house or a door opening at an hour it usually does not, and alert the Endurance team so a person can respond and contact the family.
The technology is optional and can be declined with no effect on care. What it does and does not do is set out in full. It does not detect, predict, or monitor anyone’s health, and endurance Home Care provides care at home in Connecticut and New Jersey, with companion care only in New York. Skilled nursing, home health aides and physical therapy in Connecticut are provided by Endurance Home Health.
